The secret of the most intriguing royal friendship revealed: What did Prince Philip write to her in Diana's letters?
Prince Philip publicly condemned his son, Prince Charles, when he decided to leave Princess Diana because of Camilla Parker, and one of the royal correspondents, Richard Kay, revealed to the Daily Mail a few more unknown details of the relationship between Prince Philip and Diana.
Diana allegedly confided in her friends on one occasion that she mainly discusses marital problems with her father-in-law instead of her husband and that he is the only person she fully understands.
The correspondent still claims that this was not always the case. At first, Prince Philip he was reportedly furious at the very mention of Diana's name because he thought she is not up to the task in the right way to connect with the royal institution. However, he later became very attached to her.
He often wrote her letters in which he signed in a special way: "With love, Pa (dad)".
