The seventh and eighth films from the "Mission Impossible" franchise in which he is the main protagonist Tom Cruise, unfortunately, have been officially postponed until 2023 and 2024, due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the producers of Paramount Pictures and Skydance announced in a public statement.
"Mission Impossible 7" was to be shown in cinemas in early September 2022, and "Mission Impossible 8" in July 2023.
The company also gave an official announcement:
"After careful consideration of the situation, Paramount Pictures and Skydens decided to postpone the dates for the premieres of 'Mission Impossible' 7 and 8, due to the duration of the pandemic.
The film, which is one of the cult blockbusters and sequels, is directed by Brian De Palma and is an action-spy thriller film based on the television series of the same name.
