Eight suspects for participating in a crowd in front of the Parliament, three minors also reported
The Basic Public Prosecutor's Office Skopje, in connection with the events in front of the Assembly of the Republic of North Macedonia on July 5, initiated a procedure against eight adults, for whom there is reasonable suspicion that they have committed a crime - Participation in a crowd that will commit a crime under Article 385 paragraph 2 in connection with paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code.
The suspects, during a public gathering of citizens, participated in a crowd and acted together by starting to pull the protective metal fence installed by the Ministry of the Interior. After they removed the fence, they started throwing hard objects - stones, becaton tiles, iron objects, traffic signs, trash cans, pyrotechnics and Molotov cocktails at the Parliament building.

At the same time, one police officer was seriously injured, and 27 policemen deployed in a police cordon for the protection of the Parliament building and maintaining public order and peace were injured. With their actions, the suspects damaged the facade of the Parliament, broke windows, broke the security facility set up by the Ministry of the Interior, damaged police equipment and a police vehicle.
The competent public prosecutor assessed that there is a danger that the suspects will run away or repeat the crime, so he submitted to the judge of the preliminary procedure proposals for determining a detention measure for the suspects.
Of the eight suspects, six are aged between 18 and 22, one is aged 30 and one is aged 36. Three minors have also been registered for the event, for whom the procedure will be conducted according to the Law on Justice for Children.
