The "Kumanovo group", ie those convicted for the events from "Wild Settlement", demand to be extradited to Kosovo as a group. Like what write the Kosovo media, one of them does not have Kosovo citizenship, which prevents extradition to Kosovo.

The convicts, a total of 29, seven of whom are sentenced to life imprisonment, 13 to 40 years in prison and other lower sentences, are mostly in the prison "Idrizovo". Some of them have repeatedly complained about poor conditions, went on strike and demanded that they serve their sentences in Kosovo prisons.

Of those convicted, 17 have Kosovo citizenship, while one cannot obtain citizenship despite applying. In a letter to Kosovo institutions, the detainees say that Enver Hoxha, known as Klein, was denied citizenship of the Republic of Kosovo, but was informed orally, for which they expect more information.

"We, the comrades of Enver Hoxha Klein, insist on an adequate response regarding the denial of Kosovo citizenship to Enver. Enver is a military invalid of the Liberation Army, ie a fighter of the 138th Brigade Agim Ramadani. Enver was severely wounded in the battle of Koshare. "Enver left all the good things he had in Germany and joined the ranks of the Kosovo Liberation Army," the Kumanovo convicts wrote in a letter to the President, the Government, the Ministry of Interior and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo.

Kosovo media quoted lawyer Anton Ndrecaj as explaining why the request should be rejected.

To obtain Kosovo citizenship, evidence is required, for example from the country of origin if there is a precedent, an open file or if the person is not wanted by Interpol or Europol. "The Kumanovo group has a final verdict and of course those who have a criminal record can not be citizens of Kosovo until they meet the legal criteria," Ndrecaj said.

The members of the Kumanovo group, who shot at the Macedonian police in Kumanovo for 28 hours, were sentenced by the court to a total of 746 years in prison. They are charged with terrorism for the events in Kumanovo from 9 to 10 May 2015, in which eight police officers were killed.
