Sharp messages from Berlin and Paris: Vucic and Kurti should start fulfilling their obligations or they will suffer the consequences

Sharp and decisive messages arrived today from Berlin and Paris, encouraging the leaders of Serbia and Kosovo, Aleksandar Vucic and Albin Kurti, to immediately start implementing the things agreed within the framework of the "European plan" for the normalization of relations between the two countries. .

The Ambassador of France in Kosovo, Olivier Gero, stated that he expects Kosovo and Serbia to fulfill their obligations from the agreement on the normalization of relations, or else both sides will suffer consequences.

He added that he expects the Kosovo government to initiate negotiations for the establishment of a Community of Municipalities with a Serbian majority (CMU), as well as that "meetings are expected these days" regarding this, reports the regional service of Radio Free Europe (RSE).

The French ambassador also said that from the leader of Serbia, Aleksandar Vuќi., expects to fulfill the obligations arising from the contract.

At the same event, the German ambassador to Kosovo, Jorn Rode, expressed optimism about the implementation of the agreement and pointed out that the most important thing at this moment is that it has been reached.

According to him, the agreement on the normalization of relations is a "long-term commitment" and he added that Kosovo must respect the part that refers to the self-governance of the Serbian community in Kosovo and that Serbia must not block Kosovo's membership in international organizations.

When asked by a journalist how he commented on the statements of Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic that he will never allow Kosovo to enter the United Nations, the German ambassador said that such messages "are not healthy", but that the international community should focus on the implementation of the agreement.

He said that this time he is more optimistic and that he sees the will of the leaders of Kosovo and Serbia to implement the agreement.
