In the "Osten" gallery on February 7, at 19:10 p.m., the solo exhibition of paintings by the artist Nancy Tong entitled "Simplicity / Complexity", in dialogue with the work of Marina Abramović from the collection of the "Osten" Museum, will be opened. A conversation with the artist will be held in the same gallery on February 12, starting at XNUMX noon.

Nancy Tong, who hails from Hong Kong, China, is the winner of the Osten Award at the Osten Biennale of Drawing Skopje 2022, S Macedonia, and is the first Chinese artist to be selected as a finalist and award winner of the Osten Biennale of Drawing .

– To the audience, my images can appear static and spontaneously dynamic at the same time. The feeling of mutuality, the coexistence of a state of being on a pictorial plane, is an appropriate representation of both the duality of my cultural upbringing and the blurred relationships that each of us projects to the world. My exhibition explores the physical and psychological limits in dialogue with one of my most favorite artists, Marina Abramović, through my works that connect my emotional personality with her inspiring creativity – points out Nancy Tong about her exhibition at the Austen Gallery.

The exhibition represents a kind of announcement for the program activities that "Osten" will organize on February 22 and 23 in the National Gallery, in the Cifte Hamam facility - opening of the official exhibition of "Osten" Biennale of Drawing Skopje 2022, where works of about 200 will be exhibited international artists from 40 countries in the world, reports from "Osten".
