Osmani: EU measures towards Kosovo are unfair and must be abolished

The measures of the European Union towards Kosovo are unfair and must be abolished - said the President of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani, who met with the Minister for Europe of Germany, Anna Luhrmann.

At the meeting with Minister Luhrmann, who arrived in Pristina today, Osmani, according to the announcement from her cabinet, also discussed the Berlin process, "overcoming common challenges, the importance of cooperation between Kosovo and Germany, as well as German support for Euro-Atlantic integration" of Kosovo. , reported MIA.

"President Osmani stressed the importance of canceling EU measures towards Kosovo, which unfairly affect the country's citizens the most. The Berlin process was also discussed at the meeting, during which President Osmani reiterated her full support for the agreements resulting from it. President Osmani, on the eve of the official commissioning of the Regional Center for Women, Peace and Security, expressed the importance of increasing the partnership with Germany for joint initiatives aimed at further advancing the Agenda for Women, Peace and Security, according to the announcement of the Kosovo Presidency.

Germany has recently been trying to find an opportunity for Kosovo to lift the sanctions on the import of Serbian goods, introduced more than a year ago, in order to reach an agreement to change the status of Kosovo's representation in CEFTA.

Germany's special envoy for the Western Balkans, Manuel Saracin, during his stay in Pristina at the end of last month, warned that Kosovo could be left out of the Berlin process, saying that "if Kosovo blocks CEFTA, it will be very difficult to join the Growth and Market Access Plan of the EU".

Osmani recently confirmed that there is a risk that Kosovo will be excluded from the Berlin process.
