Hungary will not support Ukraine on any issue in international relations until Ukraine restores the former rights of ethnic Hungarians on its territory, Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban told the Hungarian Parliament today.

Hungary is at loggerheads with Ukraine over what Orbán says is restricting the rights of some 150.000 ethnic Hungarians, primarily to use their mother tongue in the education system, after Ukraine passed a law in 2017 restricting the use of minority languages in schools.
