The municipality of Tetovo has received an annual plan for employment, with which in 2023 there will be an opportunity for new employment in the municipal administration. The plan was voted on at the third session of the Council today, which was preceded by a debate in the Council.

Councilors from DUI, who are the opposition in the Tetovo city council, criticized this decision, asking the majority led by Besa why the number of new employees is increasing, for which Besa and the mayor Bilal Kasami they blamed the previous government.

- It turns out that the Municipality of Tetovo needs to hire new people, even though there are 350 people with a solution. You are burdening the municipal administration with new employments, and we know that you also have new employments with a contract in place, DUI accused.

The President of the Council, Besar Durmishi, explained that this decision is a technical matter and a legal obligation if the municipality wants to employ new administrators at all. Mayor Kasami also called for an answer, who said that the municipality "has temporary employment, primarily of experts".

- These are temporary employments with contributions for people who are experts, for example in the field of urbanism. We will not continue with the practice of hiring party militants, Kasami said from the podium.

The President of the Council Durmishi said in a statement to the media that the annual plan is made in order to project the possible employments in the municipality, and it is possible that they will not be realized.

- It is foreseen to pass by law, the Ministry of Information Society and Administration is looking for. After that, if people need to be employed, the Municipality needs to submit a request to the Ministry, this is like a document that must be passed and submitted to the Ministry. There are no new jobs, but if there is a need, the municipality will have to hire according to that program where there are 23 planned jobs. For them, according to the balancer, 16 places are for Albanians, six for Macedonians and one for Roma. If the municipality has a need, it will again submit a request to the Ministry to give consent and then the advertisement will be opened, said Durmishi.

The annual plan includes retirements, promotions and hiring of employees. At the third session, there are 41 points, and it will be debated for two days.
