Due to the unimpeded movement of the public city transport and the release of the bus stops from the crowds that are created, the Municipality of Tetova on the territory of the city from July 1 prohibits the movement of the transporters that travel outside the municipality. From there, they say for "Free Press" that the goal is to avoid the traffic chaos in the city, and the transporters will be able to stop only at the main intercity bus station.

- In coordination with the SIA Tetovo, we agreed that all vehicles that drive outside Tetovo, from July 1 to be banned from moving inside the city - said the mayor of Tetovo, Bilal Kasami.

He also called on the unscrupulous citizen not to block the bus stops and not to hinder the free movement of the citizens and the local buses.

- We have seen the problems that bus drivers constantly face - blocking by unscrupulous citizens by parking the stops provided on public transport and thus preventing the free movement of city buses. We call on them not to block, because it is for the benefit of all - said Kasami.

The Sector for Internal Affairs (SIA) Tetovo announced that for the announced ban, the Municipality did not coordinate with the traffic inspectors in the police.

- No written request or notification for the announced ban has been submitted to these services - said for "Free Press" Marjan Josifoski, spokesman for the SIA Tetovo.

The Municipal Traffic Inspectorate responded that they are not obliged to inform the SIA Tetovo about the announced ban because, as they emphasize, the police should act according to the traffic signals set since 2013, which prohibits the entry of intercity buses into the city.

- The municipality has set up a signal in the city, which prescribes how intercity buses should move through the city. The police should act according to the signalization, ie the signposts. The municipality cannot inform the police about every signaled sign, because it is set based on a report that has been verified by the police. The police should impose fines if any of the transporters does not respect the decision for ban from July 1 - say the Tetovo municipal traffic inspectorate for "Free Press".

The travel agency "Nasir Tours", which have a bus line on the route Skopje - Tetovo - Gostivar, told "Sloboden Pecat" that they received the notification from the Municipality of Tetova and will respect the decision, regardless of the fact that it may be to their detriment.

- We received the notification for a ban on entering the city from the Municipality of Tetova. This may be a decision to our detriment, but it will be in the interest of the citizens of Tetovo. We are all used to driving to the front door, this is nowhere in the world - say from "Nasir Tours".

Some citizens complain that this decision will cause them additional costs, because, as they say, they need to find alternative transport to get to the main bus station. Among them there are those who travel daily on the route Tetovo - Gostivar due to work obligations.
