On the occasion of marking the International Day of Persons with Disabilities - December 3, today, Mayor Stevco Jakimovski in his office met with three representatives of this social category of citizens, who are also residents of Karposh. The meeting was attended by representatives of the Department of Child, Social and Health Care in the Municipality of Karpos, who traditionally organize this event.

As announced by the Municipality of Karpos, the meeting focused on the daily problems faced by people with disabilities, as well as possible solutions that the local government can offer to them. In that regard, the Mayor Stevcho Jakimovski mentioned that 155 people from Karpos who enter this social group, will receive a one-time financial assistance of 3.000 denars, funds provided by the Municipality from its Budget for that purpose.

- The local self-government continuously takes care of its fellow citizens from this socially vulnerable category. It has so far demonstrated this by building access ramps, opening sensory rooms in primary schools and inclusive playgrounds in several locations, providing social packages of food, and creating policies to help people with disabilities. say from the Municipality of Karpos.
