The Municipality of Centar provided personal assistants for 23 primary school students with special educational needs
Personal assistants will be provided to 23 primary school students with special educational needs, which, as the Municipality of Centar says, fully meets the requirements of primary municipal schools for this type of inclusive support. The municipal services announce that after the adaptation of the first graders, there may be a need to increase the number of personal assistants, for which the local government has provided funds in the budget. They emphasize that most of the hired assistants have many years of experience in this issue, and among them there are also licensed professionals.
I am familiar with the profile of the personal assistants with whom we signed employment contracts in the "Education for All" project. I can say that we have quality staff this year as well. Assistants are of great help to the overall teaching process. With their support, the students are provided with easier access and movement through the school premises, mastering the educational contents and adaptation and acceptance in the environment, points out the mayor of Centar Municipality, Goran Gerasimovski.
Personal assistants are hired on a part-time basis of 20 working hours per week, for a period of 9 months. For their engagement, they receive monetary compensation in the amount of MKD 15.000,00 (net amount), including personal income tax and insurance for disability and physical damage caused by work injury and occupational disease.
