The Minister of Interior Oliver Spasovski says that extensive investigative measures are being taken to elucidate the case in which an organized escape from the Idrizovo Penitentiary was prevented, through the digging of an underground tunnel by prisoners in Idrizovo.

"Extensive investigative measures are being taken there, not only now after the discovery, that process was started before. Everything that is included in those investigative measures, while being able to provide evidence, is being worked on in cooperation with the public prosecutor for organized crime, and of course it will be an extensive case in which the participation of the employees in the prison institutions should of course also be proven." , Spasovski said today in response to a journalist's question.

He says that the police knew for about two months what was being prepared in the prison.

"All the time, we are working together with the Administration for the Execution of Sanctions, the National Security Agency, and within that framework, the level of security has been raised both in the prison and outside the prison. The Ministry of Justice and the Administration for Execution of Sanctions are competent, but the Ministry of the Interior was always there to help and not to violate security, said Spasovski, saying that there must be sanctions and responsibility for anyone who has committed a crime.

"They would need 12 tractors": It is not known where the prisoners took the excavated soil from the tunnel in Idrizovo
