The opposition in Montenegro still has no presidential candidate
The leaders of the Montenegrin opposition parties yesterday in Podgorica discussed the presidential elections scheduled for March 19 and the common opposition candidate for the new president of Montenegro.
Most of the participants of the meeting believed that the opposition must present a common candidate for the presidential elections.
The RTCG portal reports that the meeting was attended by representatives of the parliamentary opposition - the Democratic Party of Socialists (DPS), the Social Democratic Party (SDP), the Social Democrats (SD), the Liberal Party and the minority parties.
"News"however, he said that no agreement was reached for the opposition to participate in the elections with a common candidate, and a new meeting should be held in a few days.
Proposals can be submitted until February 26, and the SEC will publish the list of presidential candidates by March 3 at the latest.
So far, Milojko Spajic (Europe Now Movement) and Dejan Vuksic (Christian Democratic Movement) have announced their candidacies.
