The burned area near Staro Nagoricane planted with over 200.000 seedlings
The area near Staro Nagoricane, near Kokino, which was burned down three and a half years ago, was planted with over 3.500 saplings of black pine, white pine and Arizona cypress this weekend as part of the afforestation action "Sunny Mountain". With the last action, over 200.000 seedlings were practically planted in this area.
The director of the public company "National Forests", Zdravko Trayanov, explained that this area, which was burned down three and a half years ago, was first cleared, followed by processing of the terrain, and finally afforestation.

By the way, within the largest environmental action in the country - "General Weekend" in just four years, more than 125.000 trees were planted and 915.000 kilograms of waste were collected, and so far more than 44.000 registered volunteers participated, of which more than 10.000 pupils and students.
