Former Minister of Health Imer Selmani, who in recent years has appeared in public as a political analyst, commented tonight on the latest developments in the Democratic Union for Integration (DUI) and the turmoil in the ruling party, caused by the so-called "fire group" of dissatisfied members.

After ten days of fights through the media, but also meetings with the leader Ali Ahmeti to the "firemen" who want the vice prime minister to leave Artan Grubi and other current officials, today they tried to demonstrate unity and together with Ahmeti announced that they agreed to organize elections for a new party presidency.

Selmani believes that the epilogue of today's meeting in Mala Recica is that a little more debate will be opened and a little more democracy will be introduced in the ranks of the party, which was one of the demands of the dissatisfied members and former officials-veterans from DUI.

"It was addressed to Ahmeti, because the fact is that DUI has been operating with half-hearted bodies for several years. A solution was found with him and the solution seems to be in the hands of Ahmeti. I think that they are yet to have a "fiery" debate in the ranks after the bodies are formed, whether they have delivered adequate results, as they promised in the pre-election. The fact that DUI lost in Tetovo and Gostivar, and that was never publicly debated. Only Skopje remains, and with such dissatisfaction on the part of the branches in Chair and Saraj, DUI risks losing it. I don't see all that from the perspective of the one who gets inside. It is good to debate within the party, that way there will be more debate in the public as well. It is also good for the public and citizens. It's not good when everyone applauds the leader," Selmani said in tonight's guest appearance on the "24 Open" show.
