Odermat made history with a new record in world skiing

The incredible Swiss skier Marco Odermatt celebrated with a record in the last giant slalom of the season in Андора.

Odermat ran two heats with a time of 2:19.64, two seconds and 11 seconds ahead of the runner-up Henrik Christophersen. Third place went to the Austrian Mark Schwartz.

With today's triumph, Odermat broke the record of the legendary Hermann Mayer.

Mayer reached the Big Crystal Globe with 2000 points, and Odermat set a new record with today's triumph and ended the season with 2040 points.

Odermat managed to win as many as 22 podiums in 26 races held this season.
