From the first of January, those who do not have a driver's license with North Macedonia will be "facilitated" by 100 euros
From the first of January, whoever does not have a driver's license with the new constitutional name, will receive a fine in the amount of 100 euros, according to Article 317 of the Law on Road Traffic Safety.
"According to Article 317 of the Road Traffic Safety Law, when driving a motor vehicle, the driver is obliged to have a valid driver's license and driver's book with him, which he is obliged to show at the request of a police officer. If he does not have a valid permit, he will have to pay a fine of 100 euros in denars."
Driver's licenses with the old constitutional name "Republic of Macedonia" will not be valid after 31.12.2024, so the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MIA) appeals to replace them with new ones with the new constitutional name - "Republic of North Macedonia".
