The Ministry of Education and Science (MES) informs that students who have fulfilled the conditions of the public call for the academic year 2023/2024 will start using the right to a subsidized student meal from Monday. With an increased amount of MKD 140, which will be paid on a daily basis, students will be able to shop in markets, restaurants, bakeries and other legal entities that produce, prepare or sell food.

The MES reminds that the funds can be used exclusively through the dedicated payment card issued by Sparkasse Bank, a partner in the implementation of this measure with whom the Ministry of Education and Science has concluded a non-financial agreement.

-The daily monetary compensation is used from Monday to Saturday, and it is not planned to be paid during the summer vacation period from July 1 to October 1. The amendments to the legal solution that were initiated and made during the month of April, together with the student organizations, overcome all the challenges that existed in the past, enable a fair distribution and use of the funds for the purpose for which the state actually provides them, states the Ministry of Education and Culture.

The opportunity to exercise the right to a subsidized student meal for all students who have not exercised this right until now for any reason remains open every following month, from the first to the seventh of the month, and the application is carried out through the portal e-uslugi.mon.gov .mk.
