The Cabinet of Siljanovska Davkova will ask Radev for an explanation about the flag

The office of President Gordana Siljanovska Davkova will request an explanation for the photo in front of the Bulgarian flag taken in the Office of the President of Bulgaria Rumen Radev, although, as they emphasize from there, such a move and act was not foreseen or agreed upon.

What cast a shadow on the event was the deviation from the agreed protocol for the meeting, according to which, there should not have been any photos within the closed space. But unfortunately, before the start of the tete-a-tete meeting, President Radev invited the President to take a joint photo in front of the Bulgarian flag, although such a move and act was not foreseen or agreed upon. We want to believe that this is a protocol oversight and not a deliberate procedure and a deviation from the agreed upon, and already tomorrow we will ask for an explanation from the Bulgarian side, say the Cabinet of President Siljanovska Davkova.

The photo of Siljanovska Davkova and Radev shaking hands in front of the Bulgarian flag in his Cabinet caused reactions in the country.

The president of the opposition party SDSM, Venko Filipce, described this event as an "unprecedented trampling and humiliation of the dignity of the Macedonian state and its citizens".

For the first time in the history of our country, the Macedonian president had a meeting with the president of another country without any state insignia. To make the scandal even bigger, the meeting was also attended by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, Timcho Mutsunski, who was only a silent witness to the indecent and humiliating act. It is obvious that no representative of the Macedonian delegation reacted to this degrading behavior, says Filipche.

The Left responded that "the lack of a Macedonian flag at an official event is a shameful submission to Bulgaria and another episode in the history of national humiliation that began with the Good Neighbor Agreement."

Of the political leaders who promised honor and independence, Siljanovska and DPMNE turned out to be only mediators of foreign agendas. Instead of following the will of the people who elected them, great patriots fulfill the wishes of external forces. The Left locates the responsibility in Siljanovska's protocol, which should not have allowed such a diplomatic debacle and had to intervene immediately - the reaction says.
