Exclusive, timely and verified information; For the good of the public and of Macedonia. The new news editor of the national television Alpha announces an upgrade of what has been done so far. Nikola Krstic comes to this position after a two-year engagement with the Voice of America in Washington.

"Viewers judge our work. That is why the trust we already have from them remains our priority. "I am convinced that with a renewed and rejuvenated team that is currently expanding, we will be able to meet all the challenges," said new editor-in-chief Krstic.

He adds that the confidence given to be the editor-in-chief of a television station that is considered critical is a special challenge.

"Alpha has so far shown the real situation in Macedonia, without filters and delays. "We will continue to do so because the media must be a corrective to the government and thus help build a better and fairer society."

Alpha TV CEO Jani Bojaxhi says he is confident the new editor-in-chief will bring freshness and energy, relying on the experience of VOA, an internationally acclaimed medium.

"I believe that it will transfer the acquired knowledge and skills on what it is like to speak freely and on freedom of information. Our ambitions have never been greater. I have no doubt that the return of Nikola Krstic from the United States of America back to his editorial office, will allow, following the example of the Voice of America, Alpha Television to be the Voice of Macedonia. "I wish him good luck and success," said Bojadzi.

Nikola Krstic replaces Iskra Koroveshovska, who has been the editor-in-chief for more than two years. She remains on television as part of the news team.

"And I thank the current editor for the past two years of successfully running the news department as the only critical media in Macedonia. It was a pleasure to be part of a time that made us all stronger and more determined. "We continue to cooperate with the respected Iskra and continue as part of the same team," said the General Manager of Alpha TV, Jani Bojadzi.

Krstic has 15 years of journalistic experience, primarily television. He started his career in A1, and then continued in Kanal 5 Plus, Macedonian Television and Alpha. From there he went to Washington where he worked for two years as a journalist, presenter and chief producer for the Macedonian editorial office of the Voice of America. He holds a degree in journalism from the Faculty of Law at Justinian I University in Skopje, and has trained professionally at the University of Central Florida and the University of Missouri, as well as several international courses and seminars.
