The prosecutor's office is checking whether only the police officer from "Blace" is to blame for Grubi's escape
"The prosecution works on the basis of evidence. For the time being, there is no investigation into the former Prime Minister Dimitar Kovacevski, but the verification of the allegations by the Ministry of the Interior continues," said the Republic's Public Prosecutor Ljupco Kocevski in an interview for "360 Degrees" on MRT 1.

A "stop" measure for Artan Grubi was issued by order of the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office (PPO) Skopje a few days before his escape. The police officer had to check. We are not giving details, but actions have been taken, let's see if only the police officer is guilty or if there are others, said Kocevski.
When asked if Grubi was allowed to escape, Kocevski says that a procedure has been opened for the policeman in the Public Prosecutor's Office.
"A pre-investigation procedure was conducted in that, a few days before Grubi crossed the border, a 'stop' measure was given by order of the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office in Skopje. Which means that once that 'stop' measure is given, at all our borders, the officer checking the documents has to check and see if that person can cross the border or not. The Minister of the Interior said that it was a human factor. "Procedures have been filed against the person who missed it in the Public Prosecutor's Office for the prosecution of organized crime and corruption, given that he is a police officer," said Kocevski.
He believes that one should not believe in other theories than what the Prosecutor's Office is trying to verify, and for that purpose it provided camera footage, interrogates witnesses and investigates how the former Deputy Prime Minister, suspected of embezzling millions in the State Lottery, fled.
Kocevski said that he personally does not know where Artan Gubi is at the moment, but he hopes that, since an international warrant has been issued for him, he will be delivered to this country.
