Prosecutor Kocevski convinced of his innocence
I have worked strictly and still work in accordance with the Law. If the conditions according to the Law on the Public Prosecution are met, I stand by that and let them dismiss me. But if the conditions according to the Law on the Public Prosecution are not met, the public will assess whether I will be dismissed in a legal or illegal manner, said the Republic Public Prosecutor Ljupčo Kocevski
The decision to dismiss him, the public prosecutor Ljupco Kotsevski He leaves it up to politicians, but told them that the public will appreciate whether he will be dismissed legally or illegally if it is not determined that he committed a serious disciplinary violation.

- I leave the decision to the politicians, I have worked strictly and will continue to work in accordance with the Law. If the conditions according to the Law on the Public Prosecutor are met, I stand by that and let them dismiss me. But if the conditions according to the Law on the Public Prosecutor are not met, the public will assess whether I will be dismissed in a legal or illegal manner - said Kocevski, not wanting to comment on whether he interprets this as a political intrusion by the government into the Prosecutor's Office, which is an independent and autonomous body.
He will wait for the full proposal from the Government, which should be submitted to the Council of Public Prosecutors, which should submit it to Kocevski, and then he will make a statement, but he says that from what he has seen in public, there is no serious disciplinary violation.
– If the conditions are met in accordance with the Law on Public Administration, I will take responsibility and if it is determined that this is a serious disciplinary violation as stated in the Law, I will truly withdraw, if I appreciate what I will receive, the proposal, the initiative. From what I have heard in the public, what can I comment except that there is no serious disciplinary violation here – said Kocevski.
The prosecutor claims that he had no conflict of interest in any case and, as he explained, it is necessary to see in which cases he acted illegally in order to make a statement.
– I don't go to trial, I don't act on cases, so I mainly do managerial work and on certain matters that are provided for by the Law on Public Prosecution – said Kocevski.
The proposal of the Ministry of Justice was presented at a government session today, and the Council of Public Prosecutors, considering that the Law on Public Prosecution does not specify the republican public prosecutor who determines whether he has committed a serious disciplinary violation, will assess it as in the procedure for all public prosecutors, that is, will decide whether Kocevski committed a serious disciplinary violation or not.
The President of the Council of Public Prosecutors, Dusica Dimitrievska He briefly said that he would not comment on political statements and that once the Government's proposal reaches them, they will act as prescribed in the Law, that is, they will consistently apply it.
"I cannot comment on statements, we will consistently apply the law," said Dimitrievska.
Kocevski first appeared in public after the Government began the procedure for his dismissal at a session of the Council of Public Prosecutors, where he was awaiting a request or request from the prosecutor. Natasha Krstevska Tsaleva who was appointed a week ago to head the Skopje High Prosecutor's Office in place of the suspended Mustafa Hajrullahi, to be relieved of her managerial position.
Kocevski surprised by Kocevska Tsaleva's request
Dimitrievska, like Kocevski, saw the request or petition of prosecutor Krstevska Caleva for the first time today, and it reached the Council yesterday.
– A petition and request have been received by the Council of Public Prosecutors while the suspension is ongoing. You saw that I met the members, the request has been submitted to all of them, so we will make a decision at the next session – said Dimitrievska.
When asked whether political pressures might be the reason for the prosecutor's request to be relieved of her leadership position, Kocevski said that she has not addressed him at all so far and he saw the request at today's session.
-I was not informed by her about this submission, request, request, so I just found out from the president of the Council of Public Prosecutors. She didn't tell me anything so I was surprised. I don't know what the real reasons are, is this what was in the written request today, considering that it's just one sentence, that she's asking to be released from performing these obligations in order to devote herself to the work in question - said Kocevski.
He appointed Krstevska Tsaleva as interim head of the High Public Prosecutor's Office, and the Council unanimously voted her to replace Hajrluahi.
-I proposed this candidate precisely because interpersonal relations in that Higher Public Prosecutor's Office are disrupted and that is precisely why I considered it most appropriate for this public prosecutor to carry out certain tasks in the Higher Public Prosecutor's Office Skopje. She is not an acting prosecutor, but a prosecutor who will sign mail, who will receive mail, distribute it and carry out current tasks because a report follows, a final account follows. So a public prosecutor must carry out certain tasks and that is precisely why, and my goal was to sort out those interpersonal relations as much as possible - said Kocevski.
It was her appointment that was found to be one of the reasons for the Government to initiate proceedings to dismiss Kocevski, arguing that it was illegal. Kocevski corrected the Government that Krstevska Caleva was only a temporary head, a practice that had existed before. The attacks on Kocevski began with the coming to power of VMRO-DPMNE through senior prosecutors, Mustafa Hajrulahi and prosecutor Jovan Cvetanovski, arguing that Kocevski was pressuring them to close the case for the "SPO bonuses".
