The executive board of the NSDP, putting the state's interest in the foreground, decided to accept the compromise "Proposal of the French Presidency" to resolve the dispute with the Republic of Bulgaria and start negotiations with the European Union, having, as the statement from the party says , considering the political momentum in which the Republic of North Macedonia is facing strategic challenges that depend on the future and the direction in which the country will move.

"This compromise proposal is within the framework of the Agreement on Friendship, Good Neighborliness and Cooperation between the Republic of Macedonia and the Republic of Bulgaria from August 2017 and the Resolution for determining the Macedonian state positions in the context of the blockades of European integration from July 2021. With this proposal, the Macedonian language as the most important identity mark becomes an equal language in the European Union and the entire legal documentation of the European Union will be translated into the codified Macedonian language and the Macedonian language will be one of the official languages ​​of the European Union", says the announcement from NSDP.

NSDP, the party points out, when building its position, especially respected the position of the scientific and professional public, such as the Council for the Macedonian Language (SMJ), which reached the following conclusion: "The points related to the status of the Macedonian language show that the independence and originality of the Macedonian language is respected and that the Macedonian language becomes one of the official languages ​​in the European Union."

"Determining the final position after the final 'French proposal' for resolving the dispute with the Republic of Bulgaria, NSDP studied it studiously and analytically and made a decision in the interest of the future, in the interest of the democratic and economic development of the state, in the interest of international establishment and geostrategic positioning of the state. That's why we once again call on statesmanlike behavior from all political and social stakeholders who need to express themselves on this proposal", says the announcement from the NSDP.

NSDP also demands that the Government of the Republic of North Macedonia boldly come forward and accept the "Proposal of the French Presidency with the European Union", as well as submit it for consideration in the Parliament of the Republic of North Macedonia in order to confirm it and make binding conclusions on its implementation, which, the party emphasizes, must be within the framework of the Resolution adopted in July 2021.
