Google News: The Internet giant is changing the way it follows the news
The most popular search engine Google is changing the algorithm for searching for news, a change due to which in the future the original source will be displayed at the top of the news. Thus, when opening Google News, in the first place will no longer be the most popular and "most clicked" news, but the original, which was created with investigative journalism, "Dnevno.hr" reported.
"In today's fast-paced world of news, the original coverage of a topic does not stay on top of the news for long," wrote Google News Vice President Richard Gingras.
The company will also issue guidelines for its evaluators.
"To help us understand the authority of some pages when searching our system, we have more than 10 evaluators around the world who evaluate our work," said Greengrass.
He is also optimistic about the new algorithm, saying that allowing better access to original investigative journalism will help people be better informed about the news they are interested in and what it means to them.
