New extension of the sentence of the former head of UBK: Instead of tomorrow, Sasho Mijalkov in prison from August 22
The former head of the secret police, Sasho Mijalkov, will not start serving his three-year prison sentence in the Struga prison tomorrow, because he requested a two-week postponement of his sentence, Thelma finds out. Instead of tomorrow, he will have to report to the prison on August 22.
Sasho Mijalkov previously settled with the public prosecutor's office and pleaded guilty in the "Imperia" case, after which he received a three-year prison sentence, and 6,1 million euros, as well as real estate worth about 30 million euros, were confiscated.
After the agreement, he changed his residential address from Skopje to Ohrid, and also transferred the headquarters of one of his companies there.
In addition to Mijalkov, three more defendants in "Imperia" who, like him, pleaded guilty and settled with the court will (will) serve their sentences in the prison in Struga - Orce Kamchev, Nenad Josifovic и Todor Mirchevski, who, like the former head of UBK, changed their address from Skopje to Ohrid before serving their prison sentence.
