New violence in the United States: Nine wounded, including children
At least nine people, including children, were injured in a shooting that broke out after an argument and fight on a sidewalk in Hollywood, Florida, US police said.
Six adults and three children are among the nine wounded in the shootout, they are hospitalized and all are currently in stable condition, according to the police statement, "AP" reports.
The shooting happened Monday on Hollywood Beach Drive, about 17 miles south of Fort Lauderdale and 32 miles north of Miami, and was preceded by a fight between several people.
At least one person is in custody, but police said they are looking for more suspects.
