The new Executive Board of SDSM decided: There is no support for the interpellations submitted by DUI
At the first session of the newly elected Executive Board of the Social Democratic Union today, a decision was made not to support the interpellations for government ministers submitted by DUI.
"Regarding the interpellations submitted by the political party DUI, the Executive Board concluded that it will not support and vote for these interpellations. "They do not represent a solution to the crisis at this moment and may mean new divisions on an ethnic basis," said the opposition party.
"A different approach was needed, to sit down at a leadership meeting and send common messages to calm the tensions because that approach is based on political maturity, but the government refused it," SDSM added.
The party also opposed the proposal to raise the retirement age.
"SDSM strongly opposes any proposal to increase the retirement age to 67 years. Such a step represents a direct blow to the workers, their dignity and work. It is about the continuation of wrong policies for systematic underestimation and exploitation of the labor of citizens and workers by the Government led by DPMNE. Instead of providing higher wages and better conditions for workers, the government wants to slip through a small door measures that will force workers to work longer just to finance the costs of their populist moves. Such a measure will contribute to an additional disincentive for the employment of young people, who, due to the unfavorable conditions for retirement, will even more seek their charm outside the country", says the announcement from SDSM.
