One of the most experienced Serbian national team players, Nemanja Bjelica, could miss the European Basketball Championship starting on September 1.

The basketball player was injured during the friendly match against Montenegro. How serious the injury is and whether he will be able to perform at the EuroBasket will be determined by the detailed medical examinations that will be carried out in the coming days.

Immediately after the game, a magnetic resonance was performed, but due to the hematoma, the extent of the injury cannot be seen, and new scans will be taken tomorrow.

Bjelica had the greatest success in her national team career so far in 2014, when she won the silver medal at the World Championship in Spain. Due to an injury, he missed the Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro 2016, where Serbia was also second.

Last season he played in the NBA league and won the title with the Golden State Warriors.
