At a special ceremony at the US State Department, the new ambassador to the Republic of North Macedonia, Angela Ageler, was sworn in, the American Embassy in Skopje announced on its Twitter account.

Ageler is a career diplomat in the Foreign Service, and until recently was the Deputy Chief of Mission of the United States in Pakistan, where she also served as interim acting chief of staff. ambassador.

Earlier in her career, she worked as a public relations advisor at the US Embassy in Paris, and also worked in New Delhi, Hanoi and Washington.

In her rich diplomatic career, Ageler also worked in Skopje, as part of the public relations team at the American Embassy. She also speaks Macedonian, and knows French and a little Hindi.

She replaces the previous ambassador Kate Mary Burns in the country.
