Novak Djokovic will not play in the Masters tournament in Madrid

The best tennis player in the world Novak Djokovic will not play at the Masters in Madrid, the Spanish media reported.

The Serbian last played at the Masters in Madrid in 2022, where he lost to Spaniard Carlos Alcaraz 6:7 (5:7), 7:5, 7:6 (7:5) in the semifinals.

Djokovic did not play last year at the Masters in the capital of Spain. He won this tournament three times in his career (2011, 2016 and 2019).

The Spanish media reports that Djokovic has not announced yet, but adds that the best tennis player in the main draw will replace the Frenchman Luc van Asch.

The draw will take place on April 22. The Masters in Madrid is scheduled from April 24 to May 5.
