New book in "Ili-Ili": A convincing literary journey by train

The Ili-Ili publishing house has published the book "My Night Trains" by the renowned French writer Eric Faye. The translation from French into Macedonian is by Gzime Starova, the cover design is by Marija Smilevska, and the publication of the book is financially supported by the Ministry of Culture of RS Macedonia and the French Institute in Skopje.

The author Eric Faye in "My Night Trains" invites us to a night, convincing train journey through Europe and Asia (from Paris, Prague, Moscow, to Vladivostok, Mongolia, Beijing…) in the time before the fall of the Berlin Wall and the end of the Warsaw Pact . The train continues its journey between two different worlds, shaped by the anachronistic imperatives of ideologies, the irreconcilability of regimes, world antagonisms. Trains do that every day and always with new passengers. Each of them goes from one experience to another. Eric Faye strives to be a credible recorder of their destinies.

Faye spends most of his working life as a journalist for the Reuters news agency. In 2010 he won the prestigious award "Novel of the Year" at the French Academy.
