Citizens protested this afternoon at the Autokomanda roundabout because, according to the new changes in the heating system, they will have steam heating from 6 a.m. to 22 p.m., instead of 24 hours as before.

The protest lasted from 16:18 to XNUMX:XNUMX, and the Ministry of Internal Affairs informed that the protest was announced and that a modified traffic regime was implemented during this time period.

AD ESM announced today that it is implementing changes in the heating system in order to standardize and unify the heating, that is, the same conditions for all 62.000 consumers.

- The changes, emphasized by AD ESM, mean that a certain number of consumers connected to ESM Energetica will now receive heating from 6 a.m. to 22 p.m., as the whole city is supplied, and with an average daily indoor temperature of 20 to 21 degrees, as prescribed in the network rules approved by the Regulatory Commission. These customers of Energetika have received heating 24 hours a day. From February 1, 2.000 consumers from Energetika, out of a total of 4.000, have been transferred to the network of ESM Supply (the main city network that supplies Skopje), while for the other 2.000 that remain at Energetika, in the next period, technical preparations will be made for the next heating season to receive heating, like the rest of the city. After the introduced change, the bills in the Autokomanda neighborhood will not increase as speculations appeared, and the bills of schools, kindergartens, business facilities and other institutions will decrease by up to 45 percent, AD ESM informed.

The reason for the introduced changes, the company says, is that ESM Energetica will put out of use the old steam boilers that do not have the technical possibility of daily extinguishing, and therefore the heating was supplied 24 hours with enormous gas consumption.
