Niš: He sold a field for a cemetery, after 17 years the court returned it to him with 150 buried people
17 years ago, Slavisa Jovanovic from the vicinity of Nis sold his field for the expansion of the cemetery. Since the money was not paid in full, he sued the municipality. After ten years of proceedings, instead of money, the judiciary, with the bodies of 150 buried neighbors and relatives, returned the land to him. And the village found itself in a problem because the "new owner" of the cemetery is not authorized to organize funerals, he writes H1.
“I just can't stand this. Let me tell you, everything is so uncomfortable that I can't sleep at night," says Slavisa Jovanovic.
How could he sleep when the family field was returned to him, which in 2007 was sold for a cemetery to the Council of Citizens, but with 150 buried people, commented the journalist of H1..
The president of the Council of Citizens of Donji Medjurov, Zarko Rajkovic, states that the city did not fully pay for the plot and "that's why the problem arose".
He says that he expects the government to buy this plot despite the court ruling, because it is impossible to return it to its original state.
