Nikoloski: The thesis that AA enters the government to ensure a constitutional majority of 80 MPs is ridiculous

The Vice-President of VMRO-DPMNE, Aleksandar Nikoloski, during today's press conference, answering a journalist's question about the statements and actions of the president of the Alliance for Albanians, Arben Taravari, stressed that, unfortunately, no conclusion can be drawn from Taravari's statements and that the thesis that AA enters the government to ensure a constitutional majority of 80 deputies is ridiculous, because everyone is aware that such a majority does not exist.
"I don't recognize this Arben Taavari, I know another Arben Taavari and I'm really sorry to see him in this kind of publication. First we cannot draw a conclusion from the statements. Not only does he change them every day, but in the same interview or statement, what he says in the first minute, he himself denies in the second or third. One of the funniest theses is that he entered the government to secure a constitutional majority of 80 MPs, although everyone is aware that such a constitutional majority does not exist. I think he wants to go into government because of math. Now, whether mathematics is burek or something else, he should answer and say himself, but it is clear that they want to enter the government because of mathematics. In the end it is their decision or his decision. Maybe he was blackmailed, there are such things that are heard in the political bazaar, but I would not like to speculate more than this," said Nikoloski.
He also added that in such a situation of a devastating economy, crime and corruption flourishing in every segment and additional national humiliation, this government has no legitimacy to continue ruling and the only solution is early parliamentary elections.
"In our opinion, in a situation like this, which is now only compounded by the developments with Bulgaria, in a situation of a devastated economy, of crime and corruption that flourish in every segment and of further national humiliation, this government has no legitimacy to continue ruling and the only solution are early parliamentary elections. We are aware that within the Parliament there are MPs who think differently from this government, and are formally part of the ruling majority. I expect those MPs to encourage Macedonia to go to early parliamentary elections in the next period. So the option is still open", concluded Nikoloski.
