After the transfer to Slaven Belupo in Croatia, the Macedonian forward Ilija Nestorovski is playing in good form and scoring goals, but it is still not enough to get a call to the national team from the selector Blagoja Milevski.

In an interview for Croatian "Index", Nestorovski spoke on several topics, including the situation in the national team. Nestorovski clearly emphasized that he has not finished his representative career and will always answer when called upon in the national jersey. As he says, Milevski does not invite him because of his relationship with former head coach Igor Angelovski and Goran Pandev.

"I am not in the national team because the coach decided so." He doesn't call me because I have good relations with Pandev and Angelovski. It has nothing to do with the new club, so last year I was called up one day before signing with Ascoli, and now I play continuously. Apparently, I don't fit into his ideas, but it doesn't matter. Maybe some people don't have the courage for confrontation.

But I have not given up on the national team, I will always be there to answer when I get a call. It has nothing to do with the Croatian league, there are football players from Hajduk, Varaždin, even from weaker leagues, I am not invited because maybe he thinks there are better ones than me, it is up to me to play and prove myself. "I am available, I hope my national team career will not end in this way," said Nestorovski.

In November, Macedonia is expecting the last two matches of the League of Nations, in which we will play against the Faroe Islands and Latvia at home.
