Covid hospital accident in India: 22 patients killed

At least 22 patients died today at a public hospital in the Indian state of Maharashtra when there was a shortage of medical oxygen caused by a tank leak, a government official said.

"The oxygen tank was leaking while filling, killing 22 patients at Covid Hospital," Suraj Mandari, an official in the Nashik district of Maharashtra, told Reuters.

For several days now, India has been breaking black records in the number of newly infected with the Covid-19 virus, and the total number of registered cases has exceeded 15 million.
