The former Premier League star Kolo Toure had an infamous start to his coaching career.

Toure became the coach of Wigan, but he stayed on the bench for only two months, so the club fired him due to poor results. The former footballer led the team in nine games, and in them Wigan did not win any, losing even six.

With such results, Wigan are at the bottom of the Championship, four points adrift of the safety zone.

The appointment at Wigan was the first in Toure's coaching career. Previously, as a player, he played for Liverpool, Manchester City and Arsenal in the Premier League, while he collected 120 matches for the Ivory Coast national team.
