It is not fair to block Sweden and Finland in NATO because of Bulgaria, says Maricic

Deputy Prime Minister for European Affairs, Bojan Maricic denies that the Government wants to hide something with the protocol with Bulgaria.

- We have no intention, nor do we want to hide. Documents are published after they are in the final stage. There are so many versions of these documents that it would be confusing for the public to publish something that is not definitive, Maricic answered a journalist's question.

He added that Turkey has "specific demands for its security from Finland and Sweden."

- For us to block friendly countries, which have always been on our side, because of Bulgaria, we think it is not fair. We think that at this moment, with a war in Ukraine, we should block two important countries, so that we can put pressure on another country, for which Finland and Sweden cannot do anything or guarantee anything, said Maricic.
