NATO: Russian nuclear rhetoric is dangerous and irresponsible

NATO criticized Russia for its "dangerous and irresponsible" nuclear rhetoric, a day after Russian President Vladimir Putin said Russia would station tactical nuclear weapons in Belarus.

- NATO is on alert and we are carefully monitoring the situation. "We have not seen any changes in Russia's nuclear posture that would cause us to adjust ours," the NATO spokesman said.

The mention of Russian nuclear sharing with NATO is completely wrong. NATO Allies act in full compliance with their international obligations.

Russia has repeatedly violated its arms control obligations and recently suspended its participation in the New Deal.
