The killer canopy didn't have enough posts
Serbian professor Ilija Kaitez, criminologist and sociologist, spoke about the tragedy at the train station in Novi Sad, which shook all of Serbia, but also the region. As he pointed out at the very beginning, the structure that is the canopy that collapsed today is more than 60 years old and did not have enough pillars.
"The unfortunate situation here is that huge slab, which on one side had no support pillars," said Professor Ilija Kaitez

"An assessment should be made by people who are professional, trained, educated. We cannot be omnipotent, but we must have this kind of awareness that all those who guarantee something, check something, they should take care - said the interlocutor of Blic TV.

- Of course. It is a human responsibility. When you do something, when you sign something, you can't look at it in such a carefree way, because that's what I teach my students. Here is an example of how someone's insufficiently professional work, or lack of care, or lack of precision and attention, or insufficient control, results tragically.
