After three months, new 50 and 100 euro banknotes arrive in Croatian ATMs. Until now, in most cases, only bills of 10 and 20 were paid out. But from April 1, ATMs will also issue bills of 50 euros, and some even of 100 euros, mostly those on the coast, reports RTL. The currency has changed, but not the value in the ATM.

"The lowest value was 600.000 kuna, and the highest 900.000 kuna. The values remained the same," says Lidija Stolica, president of the Croatian Guild of Security Guards.

The denominations in which money will be issued depends primarily on the model of the ATM, but also on the number of cassettes. In addition to the fact that all ATMs in the country are adapted to the euro, stronger protection is provided.

"The color will spill over the banknotes, that color does not wash off, it is recognized in any use, it cannot be used for payment on any payment device," explains Stolica.

More than 4.000 ATMs are currently operating, and in a month their number will increase by at least one and a half thousand, primarily due to the tourist season.
