The progress in the environment is evident, says Nuredini

The Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning, Nasser Nuredini, while addressing the ninth Ministerial Conference on the Environment for Europe, which is being held from October 5 to 7 in Nicosia, Cyprus, emphasized the importance of the support of the UN and UNECE in the efforts to raising environmental standards and complying with international agreements and obligations, taking into account national circumstances and specific needs of the country.

The ministerial conference is focused on sustainable infrastructure, sustainable tourism and education for sustainable development.

Minister Nuredini gave an address at the accompanying event: "Co-financing of activities for the implementation of the recommendations from the Environmental Review Performance (EPR)" which aimed to promote the operationalization of the EPR recommendations in Morocco, North Macedonia, Tajikistan and Uzbekistan in order to improve them.

- The environmental performance review for North Macedonia is a comprehensive document that provides a framework for the development of management policies and initiatives, legal instruments and policies, as well as practical actions and projects, Nuredini pointed out and pointed out that in relation to the recommendations of the 3 EPR in our country, numerous steps have been taken and visible results have been achieved.

According to Nuredini, North Macedonia has made great progress in Chapter 4 regarding environmental monitoring and information and in relation to the provisions related to the National Environmental Information System.
