Penov physically attacked the cameraman Ljubisa Ignatov, and directed verbal attacks at the journalist Alexander Todeski, while they filmed inserts in front of the house where the controversial Ukrainian oligarch was reported to live Oleksandr Onishchenko. Penov also publicly apologized to the cameraman for the physical attack on him.
- I feel guilty and I regret what I have done. For almost four days I was under siege and harassed by several television crews. I am a sick person and I am receiving therapy. I was cursing, but so was the cameraman. I had no problem with the journalist. I sincerely apologize for what I did.
During today's hearing and presentation of evidence, Penov's defense presented more evidence about his health condition, and the lawyer Dragan Georgiev said that he hopes that the court will take these circumstances into account.
