Highest inflation in Slovenia since 2008
Consumer prices in Slovenia in November 2021 increased by 4,6 percent compared to the same month last year, which is the highest inflation since October 2008, when it was 4,9 percent, the Slovenian State Statistical Office announced today.

According to official statistics, in November the prices of goods in Slovenia were on average 6,2 percent higher than the previous year, while the prices of services were higher by 1,5 percent.
The more expensive motor fuels and the clothes and shoes contributed the most to the monthly inflation with 0,2 percentage points. Diesel rose by 4,8 percent on a monthly basis, and gasoline by 3,8 percent. Clothing and footwear rose 2,6 percent in November.
In the monthly comparison, heat energy and rent for apartments (by 8,2 percent), tobacco (by 2,6 percent), package arrangements (by 1,9 percent), cars (by 1,2 percent) and prices increased significantly more significantly. of apartments by 0,8 percent. These increases contributed to inflation by 0,1 percentage points.
Core inflation, measured without effect on energy, food, alcohol and tobacco prices, has since reached 2,7 per cent, with the central bank expecting inflation to rise in Slovenia in the coming months, until the situation in world supply chains and energy markets.
