At least three people have been killed in an earthquake in Bali

At least three people have been killed and seven others injured in a magnitude 4,8 earthquake that shook the Indonesian tourist island of Bali today.

A spokesman for the local disaster management agency, Abdul Muhari, said several houses and other buildings in the Karangassem area had been demolished.

The quake struck at 4.18am local time, with the epicenter eight kilometers northwest of Karangassem, at a depth of 10 kilometers, the National Geological Survey said.
