On the occasion of the day of liberation of the City of Skopje, the Sports Union Skopje for more than 50 years organizes a solemn award ceremony on November 13. This year the ceremony was held in the conference hall of the Sports Center Boris Trajkovski, where the awards were presented on November 13, at the proposal of the Commission for awards and recognitions and by decision of the Board of the Association.

The November 13 Award - Athlete, was awarded to Dejan Georgievski, who is part of the Taekwondo Club Butel Skopje, for winning second place in taekwondo at the Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan in 2021. Besides Dejan, the award 13 November - Athlete, in the field of mountaineering, was awarded to Ilina Arsova, who this year, in Ecuador, South America, climbed 5 peaks with over 5000 meters above sea level, and gave a great contribution to the development of sports.

Award - Coach, was awarded to Borce Kostovski, who is the coach of Dejan Gorgievski in taekwondo and is credited for winning second place at the 2021 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan.

Award - Sports Journalist, was awarded to Branko Kazakovski, a journalist from the sports department of Telma TV, who made a significant contribution to the development and promotion of sports.

Award - Sports Worker, was awarded to Biljana Dimovska, a longtime sports worker in tennis, who has made a significant contribution to the development and promotion of tennis.

The Sports Union of Skopje awarded the Sports Workers for Lifetime Achievement Award to Nase Nasev, well-known and recognized coach and selector of the most successful wrestlers from the country, who are also holders of medals at European and World Championships and Olympic Games, Sedadin Ali - Setko, Professor in physical education and training, football coach and sports worker in several sports associations and Ljubomir Kotevski, mountaineer, mountaineering guide and sports worker.

The November 13 award for Social Sports Workers was awarded to Gorancho Petrovski, Head of Road Traffic Safety in SIA Skopje, who for more than 10 years successfully realized the traffic logistics of the marathon and all other races and events, which provides high safety during maintenance and Daniel Dimevski, President of the Macedonian Olympic Committee, for the successful performance of our Olympians at the last Olympic Games in Tokyo, as well as for winning a silver medal after 20 years, and is especially credited for providing new and modern conditions for development and promotion of top sports.

The Sports Union Skopje expresses great congratulations to the winners, as well as thanks to all sports workers and participants in sports, who in one way or another contribute to the development and promotion of sports in our country.
