The authorities, with a quick reaction, are dismantling the props in the Luna Park at SC "Boris Trajkovski"

The amusement park was working at full capacity since Saturday, and in the evening it was full of visitors, primarily children and young people, although no one guaranteed the safety of the props.

In the area in front of the "Boris Trajkovski" sports center these days, just like a year ago, an amusement park was set up again, which, as the City of Skopje warned, was installed without appropriate documents and permits and without the necessary documentation that guarantees the safety of the props. That didn't stop the merry-go-round from spinning every night, and the makeshift park from being packed with visitors.

But unlike two years ago, when it took months to determine whether someone had given permission to set up props or not, who is competent to stop their work and whether someone can act because the Luna Park is set up on private land, this year the reaction it was much faster. Today, from what could be seen on the ground, the dismantling of the props has already begun.

A few days ago, the mayor Danela Arsovska pointed out that the company "Disneyland Requisites" from Chair was installing props on the space and that the City of Skopje, within the framework of its competences, carried out supervision, took measures and punished the legal entity, which continued to work despite this. She called on all competent institutions to act as soon as possible, because the safety of children and all other visitors is in question.

Today, the Technical Minister of the Interior, Panče Toškovski, who informed that, acting on a tip-off, the Economic and Computer Crime Unit at SVR Skopje, in coordination with officials from the State Market Inspectorate, the Public Revenue Administration and a construction inspector from the Municipality of Karpos, went to the field. and took specific appropriate measures and activities within the scope of their competence and powers.

After Arsovska, Toshkovski also announced: Will the Luna Park at SC "Boris Trajkovski" installed without a permit be closed?

On the part of the inspection services, based on the measures and activities taken and the ascertained factual situation, Minutes on the ascertained situation have been drawn up, while an authorized construction inspector from the Municipality of Karposh has initiated a procedure for the ascertained irregularities, after which concrete measures will be taken in the direction of removing them. , ceasing to perform the activity, as well as dislocating the requisites - announced Toškovski.

And the Municipality of Karposh denied that they issued any approval for the carousel props placed near the "Boris Trajkovski" sports center and for the functioning of the amusement park for the simple reason that, as they explain from there, the Municipality does not have the authority to issue such approvals.

- Obviously, this is a rapist for whom the legal procedures do not apply, so the competent state institutions should sanction him the most severely, bearing in mind that he does not have the necessary approvals to carry out this activity at the location in question. If someone performs an activity without the necessary consents from competent local or state institutions and without appropriate technical documentation, the State Market Inspectorate imposes a ban on performing the activity - Karpoš points out for "Sloboden Pechat".

From there, they explained that in addition to the municipal building inspector, there were also inspectors from the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the Internal Revenue Service and the Market Inspectorate, so the Municipality requested that they use their legal powers and close this case.

As a reminder, three years ago the State Market Inspectorate closed the traveling Luna Park, which was placed at the intersection of Boris Trajkovski Boulevard and Serbia Boulevard in Kisela Voda. As reported at the time, Luna Park was properly licensed, but because amusement parks were banned during the coronavirus pandemic, the park was closed. Until now, despite the stormy reactions in the public, the Inspectorate did not act like that when entertainment props were set up at SC "Boris Trajkovski".

The amusement park was working at full capacity since Saturday, and in the evening it was full of visitors, primarily children and young people, although no one guaranteed the safety of the props.

Accidents in amusement parks around the world are not so rare, and recently in Kuršumlija in neighboring Serbia, a carousel collapsed and injured 13 children. Therefore, setting up an amusement park without proper permits, and especially without possession of security certificates for the requisites, must not be allowed or silenced, regardless of whether it is set up on private or state land.
