Nadal with a difficult decision: He will not participate in "Wimbledon" and the Olympic Games in Tokyo!
The Spanish tennis player informed the public through social networks that he will not be part of the next Wimbledon Grand Slam tournament, as well as the upcoming Summer Olympic Games in Tokyo.
Rafa's decision comes less than a week after losing to Novak Djokovic in the semifinals of Roland Garros.
- I decided not to participate in this year's Wimbledon Championship and the Tokyo Olympics. It is never easy to make such a decision, but after listening to my body and discussing it with my team, I understand that it is the right decision in order to continue my career and continue to do what makes me happy, and that is to compete at the highest level and continue to fight for those professional and personal goals - wrote Nadal.
Nadal explained that his decision was significantly influenced by the lack of free time between the two Grand Slams.
- The fact that there are only two weeks between Roland Garros and Wimbledon did not make it easier for my body to recover from the always arduous season on earth. Those were two months of great effort - adds Nadal.
Let's add that "Wimbledon" will be held in the period from June 28 to July 11.
