In the past 24 hours, an increasing number of Covid-19 cases have been registered in Greece, over 30.000, of which 25.566 are newly infected, and 5.022 are probable reinfections, according to official data from the National Public Health Organization.

In addition, 19 deaths were registered, and 98 patients were connected to intensive care units in Greek hospitals.

Last week, after almost three months, more than 20.000 new cases of Covid-19 were registered, and it seems that the upward trend continues, so the authorities are considering the introduction of partial anti-epidemic measures, at the height of the tourist season.

Since the beginning of the pandemic in the country, 3.755.074 cases of Covid-19 have been confirmed, it is estimated that there are 187.202 reinfections, which is 4.7 percent of the total number of positive results, and a total of 30.349 people have died.
